So, lately, I have had a horrid sweet tooth. I’d love for some chocolate, but I don’t always have the opportunity to go and get myself some sadly. So I have to improvise. I recall seeing something on pintrest a while ago, that said if you crave something unhealthy, you actually need something healthy. And for chocolate, it said you should have nuts. So nuts= Peanut Butter. Right? Right.
So I found a recipe for a peanut butter brownie. And its rather simple. I got a huge container of peanut butter this month from FoodMaxx, so I had an extra cup or so I could spare to try them. And whoo Doggie am I glad I did!
- ½Cup Melted Butter (One stick of butter)
- ½ Peanut Butter
- 1 Cup Flour
- 1 Egg
- 1 Cup Brown sugar
- ¼ Tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Vinalla
Mix Melted butter and brown sugar. Add Egg and vinalla. Then Peanut Butter, Salt and flour. Put in a greased 8×8 pan and bake for 20-25 Minutes on 350. Or until a toothpick comes out from the center clean.
And with this recipe, you can take that very base recipe and add too it:
- Chocolate Chips
- Chocolate Frosting
- Peanuts (or crunchy PB)
- Nutella (!!!!)
- Peanut Butter chips
- Carmel chips
I could go on and on and on about how you can make this recipe even better. It is so versatile, and Elizabeth helped me even! Granted, we used my mixer for a lot of it, but still!
